The Academy strives to provide the highest standard of coaching for the Olympic Sport of Sword fighting. Having been awarded the title of Development Club of the Year by British Fencing, the Academy has been guiding and supporting Schools, Organisations and Fencers through their nationally recognised programme since the Academy was established in 2009.

All Clubs within the Academy School network meet the standard for the title of Academy School Club and Schools that strive to develop Fencing further at their school can work towards becoming a School of Excellence for Fencing

The Academy School accreditation scheme is designed to demonstrate that the School Fencing Club club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its pupils and is supported by the School system. Academy School accreditation also means your School Club is recognised as rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people.
