Welcome to the Hertfordshire School League. We started League in 2014 as a way to progress our School Fencers in their competition experience. The League is designed to expose fencers to competitive fencing in a safe, welcoming and fun environment, ensuring that no matter the score, fencers can leave the event feeling like they have gained valuable life skills from the occasion. It is also a brilliant opportunity for you the parents to see your children fence and how well they are progressing.

Hertfordshire School League Values

  1. Build a positive team Spirit – Support your team mates
  2. Be passionate and determined – Work hard and enjoy the challenge
  3. Embrace Transformational Change – Even if we lose we are continually improving
  4.  Respect the individual – salute the oppoent and referee at the start and shake hands at the end of the match
  5. Show confidence and Humility – Fence to win but always smile and shake hands after

Olympians welcome you to the League

Fencing Olympians Marcus Mepstead and James Honeybone welcome the fencers each week to their School League fixture. Take a sneak peak and what they have to say.
