TERMS and CONDITIONS for Academy School
School Fencing Club Memberships for Individuals
1. Payments for memberships arranged with the Academy are due online or cash.
2. Your place is only guaranteed upon receipt of full membership payment by the first day of the term.
3. If payment has not been received once the first session has started, a late payment fee of of £5.00 will be added to the membership fee.
4. In the event that payment is not received by the due dates SA Law, St Albans will be acting on the Academy's behalf to take the necessary next steps.
5. Members who fail to pay will not be allowed to attend the Academy Sessions or Academy organised events.
REFUNDS
1. Termly memberships are non refundable after the first week. The first week payment of £15 will be deducted from the refundable amount.
School & Corporate Payments

1. The estimate is based on information provided by your Organisation and is agreed at point of work commencing.
2. Where actual numbers are not provided, a full class will be assumed.
3. The estimate will increase if any additional work is provided within the listed timeline.
4. Payment must be within two weeks of the invoice date, otherwise a 10% late fee will be applied.

Academy Memberships
Membership Bursaries
1. All members are entitled to apply for the Academy Membership Bursary which offers discounts on all memberships. Applications are viewed by the Academy Director and final decisions are made by the Academy Director. Application form available from info@teampdfa.com
Payment Methods and Due dates
Membership Plan:

One session per week for 38 weeks, set to the Centre’s timetable.

Use of fencing equipment for the duration of the session.

Priority booking options on events.

Receive regular news and updates from the Centre.

Sessions could be delivered by a blended platform, face to face and online.
Payments, Refunds and Cancellations:

Payments are due online prior to the first session and are due the same date each month for 12 months.The membership amount will be charged by the Academy irrespective of the number of sessions attended until cancellation.

Your place is only guaranteed upon receipt of membership payment.

Any sessions cancelled by the Academy will be rearranged.

All memberships will be automatically cancelled by the Academy every year on 31st March which is the final day of the Academy's timetabled year.

The Academy's timetabled year is split into three distinct four month terms. The Summer Term consists of the months of April to July. The Winter Term consists of the months of August to November. The Spring Term consists of the months of December to March.

Where the payer wishes to cancel their membership, they are required to pay for the full duration of the term they enter, irrespective of the date or time of cancellation. As a consequence of the cost of membership being spread over 12 months, the Academy will cease charging the payer upon completion of that term.

Notice of intention to cancel membership must be provided half a term in advance.

An annual membership price review will take place each year. Any changes to the price of memberships will be announced by the Academy prior to the 1st April each year

Missed/Cancelled Lessons
1. Members cannot attend alternative sessions, without written permission from the Academy Administration Team, to make up missed sessions.
2. Where the Academy cancels sessions, the Academy Administration Team will offer members alternative sessions to make up any cancellations.
3. Sessions that are scheduled on Bank Holidays will run as normal unless directed otherwise by the Academy.
Lesson times
1. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children until the official start time of their fencing sessions.
2. Fencers are to be registered on attendance and collected by a responsible adult at the end of the session. If the fencer can walk home/get a taxi by themselves/ lift with another adult the Parent/ Guardian must put in writing via an email to the Academy Administration Team, detailing the date(s) and name of the responsible adult (where applicable), prior to the occasion that they allow this to happen.
